Overview

Business Development Manager (New business) – Darlington. £35,000 Salary plus uncapped commission (OTE £65k).

Our client has been on an incredible journey in the past ten years. Their business growth has been incredible, and they’ve become one of the most trusted providers of packaging supplies in the UK. They help fulfilment centres and e-commerce businesses protect and get their sold items out to customers. The company has grown successfully from inbound opportunities, and to push on to the next level they are looking for a proactive, new business hunter, to open doors and win accounts.


What You’ll Be Doing

* Generating sales growth by hunting and securing new business opportunities
* Building strong relationships with key decision-makers, identifying needs, and presenting tailored packaging solutions that solve problems
* Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals and ensuring customer satisfaction
* Collaborating with the Managing Director to maximise opportunities and deliver exceptional results
* Using CRM tools to track leads, sales activity, and pipeline progress

What are we looking for in you?

You need be an experienced field sales professional, that’s driven by a powerful why, that will drive your performance and activities. We need to see:

* Experience of pure new business selling in the packaging market
* A tenacious can-do attitude driven by a powerful WHY
* Great diary and time management
* The acumen required to understand a customers’ problems and challenges and relate those to solutions you can provide
* The ability and discipline manage a sales pipeline
* The discipline to record activity and forecast your business accurately
* The acumen to know when to “do a deal” and when to walk away
* The ability to close business
* Customer management skills that build solid relationships, for the customer, for our client and for you
