The role
Our client based in Whittlesford is currently recruiting for a QC Analytical Technician to join their growing laboratory team on a permanent basis. Working within a busy analytical laboratory, you will support manufacturing operations by carrying out a range of analytical tests, evaluating results and ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards. Main Responsibilities: • Performing analytical testing in accordance with GLP standards • Conducting laboratory analysis using a variety of instrumental and classical analytical techniques • Evaluating, recording and reporting analytical results accurately • Supporting manufacturing operations through timely and accurate testing • Preparing, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and chemicals • Ensuring compliance with internal quality procedures and external regulatory standards • Capturing and reporting laboratory data with a high degree of accuracy • Maintaining laboratory documentation and records • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory • Assisting with general laboratory housekeeping and maintenance activities Skills & Experience: • Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience • Practical experience performing analytical testing within a laboratory environment • Experience working to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards • Experience using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS and UV Spectroscopy • Knowledge of wet chemistry techniques • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent organisational and time management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Strong verbal and written communication skills Salary & Working Hours: • £28,500 - £30,500 per annum • Full-time permanent position • 37.5 hours per week • Monday to Friday • 08:00 – 16:00 • Based in Whittlesford, CB22
