About The Role
Here at Kisimul, we're dedicated to improving the lives of children with Autism and learning difficulties that we support every day.
We're excited to be opening a brand new Children's Home called 'Clann Dion' - a beautiful home located in Rand, just outside of Wragby, LN8.
About The Role
As a Support Worker/Life Practitioner, you’ll be an integral part of the team, teaching young people life skills in context and supporting them to integrate these skills. We’ll provide all the necessary training. You’ll contribute to and promote the development of young people's communication, self-help, and independence skills, undertaking actions devised by other specialist colleagues such as speech therapists and educational psychologists, and providing feedback on sessions. Additionally, you'll support individuals in maintaining and improving their health and emotional needs, always promoting increased independence. Support Workers participate in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational activities such as trips to the Safari Park, fun fairs, or local restaurants.
We offer flexible hours to suit your family life
Days - 40 hours per week. Shifts either 5 x 8-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts (between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm). Part-Time shifts are also available. Days/hours to be agreed with the Manager.
