What do you need to succeed?
Our Hairdresser assists our care teams to provide an exceptional service, supporting the Reception and Lifestyles Teams.
This is a crucial position and central to the lives of the people we support, so good people skills are essential alongside strong organisational skills. If you have previous experience working in the hair and beauty sector and have an affinity for care, this is the role for you.
As a Hairdresser, your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting residents with hair and beauty within the home
* Supporting the Hospitality Manager with lifestyle activities taking place within the home
* Undertaking tasks in a professional manner, reflecting the values of Oakland Care Group in a person-centred way.
To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Qualification in hairdressing and beauty.
* Hold hair and beauty certificates.
* Minimum one (1) year hair and beauty service experience desired.
* Good knowledge and understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* Knowledge of challenging behaviour/dementia awareness.
Skills and Competencies
* Verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with staff, residents, family members, and other agencies.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow work schedules.
