Description
DACB Discover is an eDiscovery, early case assessment, and disclosure solution that enables seamless use of established document review platforms without the need to instruct third-party providers. It allows fee-earners to ingest, process, review, and produce data across various types, serving as a principal depository and review platform for evidence and unused material in different matters.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and dynamic Solicitor/Associate to support the ongoing growth of DACB Discover and related eDiscovery services, providing advisory support for projects managed in the UK and internationally. This role offers significant opportunities for development and career progression within our wider Professional & Commercial Risk team.
Key Responsibilities
* Non-fee earning:
* Assist the DACB Discover lead fee earner with product, service, and operational development, including the adoption of new AI capabilities within discovery platforms.
* Participate in business development meetings and liaise with third-party providers and internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.
* Develop a working knowledge of the commercial model and monitor project budgets.
Fee-earning:
* Support fee-earning staff with legal project management and advisory services, including forensic collections, document review, searching, reporting, and disclosure issues.
* Provide additional support to the wider commercial litigation practice as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Approximately 1-3 years PQE or equivalent paralegal experience, subject to meeting other requirements.
* Significant experience managing or participating in disclosure and large-scale document review projects using eDiscovery tools.
* Understanding of civil procedure rules related to disclosure.
* Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in expanding eDiscovery, project management, and legal tech skills, including AI solutions.
* Technical expertise in areas such as commercial disputes, financial services disputes, white-collar criminal defense, or internal investigations.
