Mechanical Assembly | Electro-Mechanical | Workshop Engineering
We are working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Essex who design and build specialist mechanical systems used within commercial and industrial environments across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Workshop Engineer to join their technical team.
This role is primarily workshop-based and involves the assembly, testing and fault diagnosis of electro-mechanical equipment, working closely with the wider engineering team to ensure systems are built and prepared to a high standard.
Full training can be provided for the right candidate, making this a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical or electrical background looking to develop their engineering career.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Mechanical assembly of engineered equipment and components
* Supporting electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems where required
* Testing equipment and systems prior to installation
* Carrying out fault diagnosis and reporting issues
* Supporting general workshop activities including stock and equipment organisation
* Completing workshop reports and technical documentation
* Providing technical support to colleagues when required
* Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Experience, Skills and knowledge
* Background in mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical engineering
* Experience with assembly, maintenance or fault finding
* Practical and hands-on approach to engineering work
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and pride in quality of work
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience within manufacturing, engineering workshops, maintenance, mechanical assembly or equipment repair would be beneficial.
Salary & Benefits
* £35,000 salary rising to £38,000 after probation
* Monday to Friday working pattern
