About the role
Our real estate team is looking to hire a paralegal to join the busy post‑completions team in our Oxford office. The role provides exposure to high quality work and offers responsibility, direct client contact and training in a supportive environment.
The Commercial Real Estate Team has offices in London, Oxford, Guildford, Cambridge and Birmingham, and advises on all areas of commercial real estate from large scale development to social housing.

This role is a good opportunity for the right person to progress within the firm. Paralegals in this team often go on to secure training contracts with us, or other firms due to the fantastic training and experience offered.
Key responsibilities
The team deals with all aspects of SDLT and land registration, including providing advice to assist with deal structuring; the successful candidate will be expected to become an expert on SDLT.
The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy allowing employees to work from home (or another UK location) up to 50% of their time. Individuals can also apply for other flexible working options either at the time of recruitment or during the course of their employment.
Essential criteria
* Ideally, degree or CILEx qualified
* Previous experience dealing with SDLT and land registrations
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to manage a busy workload and excellent organisational skills
* Ability to work both alone and collaboratively with other team members
* Confidence in client‑facing communications
* Attention to accuracy and detail
* Collaborative team member with ability to quickly build relationships with a wide range of people
* Receptive to facilitate and support change
* Sound organisational skills; flexible, pragmatic and problem‑solving approach
* Comfortable working under pressure with the ability to plan and prioritise work; appreciation of fee earner needs and constraints; commercially aware
