About the Role
The Multi-Skilled Engineer Mechanical – Central Hub will own their duties, ensuring high standards of reactive, planned preventive, and scheduled maintenance across venues in the Midlands Hub, including Becketwell Live, Utilita Sheffield, and Sheffield City Hall. Responsibilities include overseeing the operation, maintenance, and servicing of building services, infrastructure, and equipment, ensuring statutory compliance and adherence to SFG schedules. The role involves proactive planning to maximize reliability, availability, and environmental conditions to maintain optimal service levels and facility performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and deliver maintenance services with the Estates team.
* Ensure compliance, performance, and customer satisfaction.
* Build relationships across departments and with contractors.
* Lead mechanical maintenance and repairs within the Midlands Hub.
* Manage reactive and planned maintenance, diagnosing faults and ensuring safe repairs.
* Develop and implement PPM schemes for plant and equipment.
* Support maintenance tracking via CAFM systems.
* Monitor building services performance and ensure legal compliance.
Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 3/C&G/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with maintenance experience.
* Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Building Maintenance, Plumbing, with Electrical and Control Systems experience preferred.
* Familiarity with SFG20 Maintenance Schedules and experience in the events industry.
* Expertise in Water Safety (L8), Pressure Systems, HVAC, Gas, Drainage, Fire Sprinkler Systems.
* Understanding of Safe Isolation procedures and CAFM software experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
* Self-motivated with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the Central Hub.
* Ability to identify defects, propose actions, and drive improvements.
* Experience supervising external contractors and maintaining safety standards.
* Support sustainability and environmental initiatives.
