Head of Learning and Development (Emerging Business Units) – Radius

Radius was born on the 8th of January 1990 as a fuel card business called UK Fuels, located above a hair dressing salon in the village of Holmes Chapel about 25 miles south of Manchester. Forward the clock to the present day, Radius now has six integrated business units that operate across 19 countries globally with nearly 3000 employees.


Role purpose

The Head of Learning and Development will support the creation and delivery of learning interventions that fit the needs of our Emerging Business Units (EBU) across Insurance, Telecoms, Expense Management, Vehicle Hire and Energy. Learning will align to the Learning strategy and framework. The role focuses on developing our people efficiently and effectively through the agreed learning interventions at Group or local level. This role is ideal for a current Supervisor or Manager who aspires to develop into a senior leadership role within People, Learning and Development and Leadership.


Responsibilities

* Work alongside all L&D Managers to improve training programs across the selected business units, focusing on induction and upskilling for Agents, Team Leaders and Managers
* Improve impact and utilisation of the Group Learning Hub including engagement metrics
* Create, with support from the Group Director L&D, a local framework for Agent, Graduate and Leadership development
* Review new-starter onboarding and engage with local leadership to reduce labour turnover in the 6-12 month cohort
* Contribute to the design, delivery and evolution of training programs for new starter induction and ongoing agent development – leveraging Group learning content
* Ensure post-workshop learning materials are implemented to support embedding of learning solutions
* Support generic development of tools such as scripts and visual aids to improve customer experience and sales results
* Create a compelling learning environment to support the best learning experience for our people
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver a best-in-group learning solution
* Travel to other Radius offices to support the country in these areas as required


Qualifications

Essential role requirements:

* A strong working knowledge of Radius product range, tech and Salesforce
* Facilitation skills including aligning to learning styles
* Highly presentable with strong organisational and motivational skills
* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to operate at all levels internally and externally
* Very strong attention to detail
* Excellent knowledge of Radius systems and processes
* A proven track record in terms of developing Sales Agents
* A ‘can do’ positive attitude and ability to work off own initiative
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines


Required Experience

Minimum requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales or Account Management or Sales Training Role
* Training qualifications a distinct advantage
* Full Clean Driving License
