Ideally, you have completed a recognized apprenticeship or training program with experience in building services engineering. You possess excellent technical knowledge of mechanical installations and have the ability to manage and deliver projects within budget and timeframes. What the Job Involves As a Mechanical Inspector, your primary function is to provide professional support to the engineering service. You will inspect mechanical installations for compliance and quality. Key responsibilities include ensuring all mechanical works by contractors meet project requirements, maintaining detailed diaries and site notes, and establishing communication with stakeholders. You will also provide on-site quality assurance, conduct inspections, prepare project reports, and advise on the appraisal and performance of contractors. Ensuring legal, regulatory, and policy compliance is another essential part of your role.
