Summary
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Snr EHS Manager, this exciting role spans across 9+ sites within the EMEA region to include UK, IRL, Italy and France, the role will be part of the SLT for the Baxter EMEA Compounding Business providing clear strategic direction and mentorship to ensure compliance but also be part of the focus from Compounding in taking care of its employees and being ‘A phenomenal place to work’ .
The business produces products within its portfolio to include Chemotherapy, Antibiotics, Nutrition therapies, this truly supports the Baxter organisations Misson to Safe and Sustain Lives, the EHS Function is pivotal to supporting the safety and Wellbeing of its teams and the environment.
This Snr Manager position pays an important part as a support function lead to the EMEA Compounding business with great opportunities to further enhance, standardise and align its presence and approach and to integrate activities into all functions.
The role will be working between Monday and Friday, with the requirements to travel to our sites in the EMEA region up to 40% of the time, with overnight stays as required.
The essential elements of the role are;
1. Provide strong leadership and direction to the EMEA Compounding business and Pharma Segment Director to identify EHS compounding resource needs.
2. Provide strong and demonstrate reliable leadership for the country EHS&S and Business leadership teams to include objectives, targets, legal, business, and corporate expectations.
3. Evaluate and maintain an EHS needs analysis for the EMEA business.
4. Line manager responsibilities to direct reports to include training and ongoing development, provide leadership support for the EMEA EHS team to ensure team effectiveness.
5. Ensure country EHS teams effectively complete the requirements of their job descriptions/expectations.
6. Flexibility to operate across differing working shift patterns and countries.
7. Maintain site visibility via regular physical site visits and virtual communication channels.
8. Respond with speed and courage to regulatory or business changes or needs.
Education and Experience
9. Degree level qualification/education
10. Appropriate EHS qualification e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH or country equivalent
11. Demonstrable experience in influencing & advising management partners.
12. Shown experience in learning new disciplines to become a subject matter expert within EHS&S in a highly regulated environment.
13. Extensive experience of working within an aseptic environment.
