NHS Grampian’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Outpatient Receptionist/Assistant to join our team based at City Hospital in Aberdeen.
CAMHS is a very busy service, and this is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys problem solving and working in a very varied role.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients upon arrival in a busy reception environment.
* Support the management of the CAMHS e‑mail inbox.
* Handle the large volume of phone calls received by the service on a daily basis.
* Participate in a wide variety of other tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Reception and/or office experience essential.
* Excellent communication and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Work Details
CAMHS is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The successful candidate will be required to work within these hours to provide reception cover during our core hours. This vacancy is full‑time, 36 hours per week.
Salary and Hours
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
