We are a busy town centre bar and cafe serving a wide range of food and drink from loose leaf teas to cocktails, all day breakfasts, tapas and afternoon teas. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a passion for hospitality, they will be a team player with good communication skills and physical stamina. They will take pride in their work, be punctual, well presented and like to keep their surroundings clean, tidy and presentable. Most importantly they will go above and beyond to ensure each customer has an enjoyable experience and will want to visit again
Front of House Staff Purpose:
To greet customers and offer seating, food and drink menus and answer questions about menu items. To take and deliver food and drink orders, prepare bills and process payments.
Staff will ideally have prior barista and bar experience and be willing to learn.
Front of House Staff Duties:
· Welcome customers when they arrive and use the booking system to seat them appropriately.
· Ensure customers receive the right menus to suit their needs and preferences.
· Answer questions about menu items.
· Take orders for food and drink and promptly pass on to the kitchen, bar or café
· Prepare drinks and serve to customers
· Collect food orders from kitchen, ensuring they are correct and serving to customers
· Ensure customers are satisfied with their food and/or drinks and offer additional items.
· Promptly remove used glasses, cups, plates.
· Keep tabs/bills up to date and deliver to customers.
· Process cash and card payments.
· Ensure tables are kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
· Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials and general business information
· Communicate regularly with management and other staff members to keep informed about upcoming events, bookings, menu changes and customers with special needs.
· Manage booking and anticipate the needs of reservations in advance and be prepared in good time.
