About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Workers to support children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in school environments. You will help promote learning, emotional development and positive behaviour.

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with personal or professional experience supporting children or individuals with additional needs. Backgrounds that work well in this role include:
* Childcare / Nursery / Playwork
* Care sector or youth services
* Psychology / Social sciences
* Military / Public service
* Education / Teaching support
Informal experience (e.g., caring for family members with additional needs) is valued — don’t hesitate to apply.

Key Requirements
✔️ Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
✔️ Ability to support learners with Additional Learning Needs
✔️ Calm, patient and empathetic approach
✔️ Strong communication & teamwork skills
✔️ Interest or experience in behaviour support
✔️ Own transport required
✔️ Willing to travel a minimum of 30 minutes for work

Personal Care
Some roles may involve personal care (feeding, changing, hygiene support).

✨ Your Responsibilities
* 1:1 or small-group learning support
* Behaviour and emotional regulation support
* Helping learners access lessons and social activities
* Encouraging independence, confidence and wellbeing

✅ Desirable (not essential)
* Autism/ADHD/SEMH experience
* Behaviour intervention knowledge
* Manual handling / hoisting experience
* Experience in specialist or SEN settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
