Overview
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm. Remuneration: From £89 a day. We are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school committed to excellence and personalised education. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), providing them with the tailored support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. At this school, every child is valued as an individual. With small class sizes, modern facilities and a warm, family-style environment, the school provides specialist academic and therapeutic support for pupils with unique learning profiles, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication, social, emotional and mental health needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting your approach to meet each pupil’s needs
* Build positive, respectful relationships with children, encouraging their engagement and independence
* Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised education in line with pupils’ EHCPs
* Support learning through creativity, patience and a nurturing attitude
* Assist with behaviour management using calm, positive strategies
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment where every child feels respected and valued

Requirements
* Be prepared to provide an up-to-date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines
* Be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face-to-face interview with Axcis to demonstrate suitability
* This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise
