Are you a commercially astute Business Development professional who thrives on building strategic relationships and turning opportunity into revenue? Do you enjoy operating at a senior level, selling complex solutions and shaping long-term partnerships? If so, Lambert would love to hear from you.


The Role


As Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across our full service portfolio. Acting as a trusted advisor to our customers, you'll identify, develop and convert new opportunities while nurturing long-term strategic partnerships.

You'll own the sales journey end-to-end - from market insight and campaign development through to tendering, negotiation and contract completion - working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success and outstanding customer experience.



What You'll Be Responsible For


* Building trusted, strategic relationships with customers at all levels
* Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities
* Creating winning sales strategies and leading tenders from initial engagement to close
* Developing and managing strategic Key Account plans
* Acting as the commercial lead during project implementation phases
* Networking with strategic suppliers to gather market intelligence
* Leading targeted sales campaigns and supporting wider sales team initiatives
* Managing commercial negotiations to maximise GP, cashflow and long-term value
* Maintaining accurate, visible pipelines through effective CRM use
* Living and promoting Lambert's values of respect, integrity, trust and excellence

What We're Looking For


Essential Experience & Knowledge


* Proven success in capital equipment, service or solution-based sales
* High level of commercial and strategic sales awareness
* Strong background in customer relationship and key account management
* Experience presenting technical solutions and business value clearly
* Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team


Essential Skills & Qualifications


* Engineering-related degree or vocational qualification (HNC, HND, apprenticeship)
* Excellent organisation, time management and presentation skills
* Strong negotiation capability with the drive to close complex sales
* Confident user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
