The Mount JI&N School is looking for a skilled, committed and proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to work primarily in the classroom, supporting high‑quality teaching and learning. About the Role
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who can:
1. Support high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
2. Work effectively with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
3. Provide targeted support for individuals and groups, including pupils with additional needs.
4. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to help them thrive socially and academically.
5. Use initiative, creativity and strong behaviour-management strategies to contribute to a calm, purposeful classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will:
6. Have experience working within a KS2 setting.
7. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Be confident delivering interventions in English and Maths.
9. Be adaptable, organised and able to take initiative.
10. Have a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
11. Hold a relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent).
