Overview

Abingdon Community Hospital is looking for a part time receptionist/administrator who can prioritise workload and has plenty of initiative. The role supports the Outpatients department and wider admin teams.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide professional, effective and efficient reception and administrative support to all staff in the department using agreed processes and procedures to ensure service standards are achieved.
* Be the first point of contact for service users, managing clinic room bookings, queries, answering phones and assisting where necessary to ensure the priorities of the team are delivered effectively.
* Present a welcoming and inviting first point of contact, respond promptly to queries, manage phone calls and referrals within team guidelines.
* Perform general office duties including responding to emails and phone enquiries, answering the telephone, taking and recording messages accurately, responding to queries appropriately, filing, photocopying, scanning and following Trust procedures and protocols.
* Manage incoming mail (electronic and post), date stamp and manage it in line with service guidelines.
* Fully understand all areas of the services, attend ongoing training to ensure a quality service.

Role Details

This is a part time role working 15 hours per week, 9-5 Thursday and Friday.
