Job Description
Diary management and scheduling
* Managing two Executives’ schedules and arranging internal and external meetings, including project-specific or general meetings with writers/directors, alongside general support for the TV Development Team.
* Liaising with the Chairmen’s offices, other Senior Staff, and our LA colleagues to ensure meetings and calls are entered into their diaries and vice versa.
* Front-of-house duties when welcoming people for meetings.
* First point of contact for calls to Working Title for the two Executives and the TV development department, ensuring messages are passed on professionally.
* Reviewing the diary at the start and end of each day to ensure the executives are prepared for all meetings (e.g., reading or viewing material in advance).
* Taking minutes in internal departmental meetings and ensuring actions are completed and followed up.
Submissions
* Assist and liaise with the Head of Drama’s Assistant to manage the submissions log.
* Cover material and write coverage when requested, including synopses and informed feedback on material submitted, assessing fit for Working Title’s TV slate.
* Upload material to the shared drive for remote access by the TV and film development teams.
Scripts / Working Title Projects
* Proof new drafts and amend/edit typos using Final Draft as needed.
* Ensure scripts are correctly labeled and filed in the internal system.
* Watermark scripts/material for talent and log this information.
* Update or compile project-related lists (cast, writer, director).
* Prepare upbeat-sheets and card scripts ahead of meetings.
* Work with other development assistants to maintain up-to-date project synopses.
Travel
* Coordinate national and international travel and accommodation with high-profile talent.
* Organize the team’s travel for business trips, events, and set or production visits.
General
* Book theatre tickets and events.
* Report and share relevant industry news and information with the development team, as appropriate.
* Conduct general research and compile digestible documents.
* Research IP and backlist book titles; update long-lists for writers and directors.
* Reconcile business credit card statements and staff expenses.
* Provide support for visitors and assist with staff and runner duties as needed.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates thrive in a busy, varied Creative department and have some experience as an Assistant. They should have good working knowledge of established and emerging talent in the Film & TV industry, strong organizational skills, and keen interest in film and high-end TV drama. Strong interpersonal skills are important due to engagement with senior talent. While the focus is largely administrative, there is scope to contribute to the creative aspects of the department. A broad interest in fields such as theatre, literature, podcasts, comedy, gaming, social media, and content creation is welcome if it can feed into the department.
