Job overview

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a full time Advanced Clinical/Nurse Practitioners (ACP/ANP) or Band trainee in Breast Surgery at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within a small team of already established band A Advanced Nurse Practitioners, working closely with the breast multi-disciplinary team, supported by the senior nursing team and breast surgery consultants. The role will include working across sites, with patients referred to the symptomatic breast clinic and being seen at the Churchill and Horton Hospitals.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled individual who either has or is working towards a Masters/PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice and who is forward thinking to step up to this challenge and can demonstrate the pillars of advanced practice. A trainee band ACP/ANP may be considered, depending on existing skills, experiences and qualifications. You will be supported through a period of induction to develop competence in clinical breast examination and the management of patients presenting to the symptomatic breast clinic. Experience in this speciality is an advantage but not essential. All candidates must be able to provide evidence of a strong commitment to the provision of quality driven, evidence based practice to enhance the patient experience.
