The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students with a range of additional needs — including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH) — to thrive in their learning.
You’ll work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to deliver personalised support both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one sessions. Every day will be different, but every day you’ll make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with SEN to ensure they can access and enjoy the curriculum
* Assist in the delivery and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Adapt materials and learning resources to meet individual needs
* Encourage independence, self-confidence, and inclusion across all aspects of school life
* Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and share insights with the SENCO and wider team
* Support with personal care if required

About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and has a passion for helping every learner succeed.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in a school or other setting)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed
* A flexible, positive attitude and a good sense of humour
* A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential
