Our client is seeking a Hybrid German Speaking Accounts Payable Specialist to join their expanding Transactional Finance Team. This full-time, office-based role in Blackburn offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to progress their finance career within a successful organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting and payment of invoices, liaising with vendors, and performing other assigned Accounts Payable tasks.
What you'll do:
As a Hybrid German Speaking Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our client's Transactional Finance Team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing allocated AP accounts, processing invoices, posting credit notes, maintaining the vendor master database, and handling various financial controls. You will also be tasked with monitoring direct debits, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations, and managing supplier accounts. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with suppliers to resolve any invoicing or payment queries.
1. Manage allocated AP accounts, including all related policy adherence and compliance
2. Process non-purchase order and purchase order invoices for payment
3. Post invoices/credit notes per business requests ensuring they are coded correctly in the accounting system
4. Perform routine Accounts Payable tasks under the direction of the Accounts Payable Team Leader
5. Maintain vendor master database
6. Handle reconciliation, payments and controls (RPC)
7. Monitor Direct Debit
8. Reconcile balance sheet account
9. Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations
10. Manage supplier accounts proactively and monitor ageing
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Hybrid German Speaking Accounts Payable Specialist role brings proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within a Shared Services environment. You possess excellent client and customer service skills along with a working knowledge of MS Office products. With a strong academic record in Finance, you are adept at presenting and explaining financial information to all levels of management. Your high standard of written skills complements your good interpersonal abilities. You have good analytical skills and can meet demanding deadlines. Furthermore, you are able to adapt your style of communication depending on the audience.
