Job Description Student Support Role - Teaching Assistant Outwood Academy Normanby Start Date: January 2026 Contract: January 2026 - August 2026, fixed term in the first instance Salary (Actual Salary): Grade 3, SCP 5-6 (£19,285, - £19,592) Working Pattern: 32.5 hours, Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 3.15pm, term time only, plus 5 days About The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will be essential in promoting the learning and welfare of students, including those with Statements of Special Educational Needs. You will work in close, direct collaboration with the teaching body to deliver the current curriculum, ensuring all students are actively engaged in their education. This demanding role requires you to support the management of classroom behaviour and work effectively across a variety of settings: whole-class exercises, small focus groups, and on a one-to-one basis.
