Job Description: Service Engineer
- Forklift Repairs (Workshop-Based, in Strood, Kent)Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 + Overtime (OTE up to £48,000)The CompanyOur client is a leading provider of forklift servicing and repair solutions, trusted across the industry for their expertise and customer focus.
They are now seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Service Engineer to join their team in Rochester, Kent.The RoleAs a Workshop Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:Servicing, repairing, and refurbishing a range of forklifts and materials handling equipment (gas, electric, and diesel).Diagnosing faults and carrying out efficient repairs to minimize downtime.Refurbishment and respray work when required.Ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.Key RequirementsProven experience as a Maintenance/Service Engineer, ideally within forklifts, HGV, plant hire, or similar sectors.Background in marine or armed forces engineering also advantageous.Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge with fault-finding expertise.Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.What’s on OfferCompetitive salary from £35,000, with earnings up to £48,000 through overtime and bonuses.Uncapped overtime at time and a half (after 8 hours).40-hour working week.25 days’ annual leave (rising to 32 with service). xsngvjr Excellent career progression and professional development opportunities.If you’re a skilled Service Engineer seeking a rewarding role with genuine growth prospects, we’d love to hear from you.
