Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic and hard‑working individual to join the Theatre team at NVACH. The successful candidate will work across multiple specialties within the peri‑operative environment to deliver safe and effective patient care and to assist with the day‑to‑day tasks that maintain the smooth running of operating lists.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday 08:00‑17:30 x2, 08:00‑18:00 x2. At any time the pattern may become 24/7 to meet service needs.
Responsibilities
* Assist registered and medical practitioners with delivery of care.
* Follow national and local policies and protocols.
* Prepare and report on medical equipment and sundries for operating lists.
* Use medical equipment and report any broken items.
* Maintain the smooth running of operating lists across a range of specialties: General surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmics, ENT, Urology, Gynaecology, Pain Service and Dental.
* Complete a competency programme for HCSW’s in the peri‑operative environment.
* Support new learners who are entering the role.
* Work across multiple sites in South Sector NHSGGC.
Qualifications
Experience is desirable but not necessary. Training will be provided.
