The Production Planner will collaborate with various departments to develop and execute integrated sales and operations plans, ensuring efficient resource utilization, accurate demand forecasting, and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, coordinating production schedules, and aligning strategic objectives to optimize the balance between supply and demand within the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities - Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to accurately forecast customer demand, considering historical data, market trends, and other influencing factors. - Production Planning: Develop and maintain integrated production schedules that align with demand forecasts, production capacities, and inventory targets. - Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with various departments, including sales, production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless communication and alignment in the supply chain. - Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization to meet production and sales targets. - Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret production data, market trends, and other relevant metrics to make informed decisions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - Communication: Facilitate clear communication of S&O plans, changes, and performance metrics to stakeholders at various levels within the organization. - Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement efforts, suggesting and implementing enhancements to planning processes and workflows. - Technology Utilization: Utilize advanced planning tools, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other technology to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of S&O planning processes. - Customer Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team to align production plans with sales strategies, ensuring that customer demand is met efficiently. - Adaptability: Adapt to changes in market conditions, production requirements, and business priorities, adjusting plans and strategies accordingly. - Design Data Management: Support the management of design data, manufacturing specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for prototypes and production.
