We're pleased to be working with a housing association in the East of England who are looking for a temporary maintenance surveyor to support the team for 6 months. Joining a small team and supporting the Contracts Manager and other surveyors, you'll be travelling across the region to inspect social housing properties.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Surveyor, you'll be carrying out stock condition surveys on social housing properties, inspecting and diagnosing repairs issues, and reporting on the general condition of the properties. You'll spend most of your time on-site surveying properties, with the rest working from home completing reports. While most properties will be in the region, there may be occasions requiring travel further afield. You will also handle some responsive repair issues, diagnosing problems and managing remedial work with contractors. Additionally, you may be involved in damp and mould surveying work and void properties.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Maintenance Surveyor, you'll have experience surveying social housing properties, completing both stock condition surveys and managing responsive/planned maintenance issues. A valid driving license and access to a car are required, as you'll need to travel across the region to various properties.
What you'll get in return
This is expected to be a 6-month contract. You will receive an hourly rate of up to £35 per hour gross/Umbrella. The role offers flexible working arrangements; most of your time will be spent visiting properties, with some work in the office and the rest from home when completing reports.
