The Rating team at WSP GL Hearn is a highly skilled and specialised group dedicated to providing exceptional rating and valuation services to clients in the commercial real estate sector. With an in-depth understanding of the complex rating landscape, our team combines extensive industry knowledge with strategic insights to deliver accurate and insightful assessments.

The purpose of the role is to inspect and measure properties to ensure accuracy of the data held by the Scottish Assessors.
The Role Will Involve
* Surveying various property types throughout Scotland.
* Inspecting, measuring, and checking factual details for each property, and providing key information for “Proposal” submissions to the relevant Assessor.
* Completing proformas of measurements and providing photographs and drawings of the properties.
* Writing up referencing notes.
* Recording, updating, and maintaining the team’s IT systems with survey details.
You will work within the Business Rates Team but will require independent on-site work and collaboration with internal staff. Work may be office-based or home-based, subject to Health & Safety audits.
What We Will Be Looking For
You are a proficient property referencer with experience in inspection and measurement, demonstrating high organisation, collaboration skills with senior staff, and a desire to improve business data and support others.
You actively champion knowledge sharing, build professional relationships, and apply systematic solutions to data errors.
