Location: Hybrid (Work From Home & Sundays at Schools)
Hours: Full-time (30 hours per week)/ Part time (24hours per week)
Contract: 1-year

BE Church is a Christ-centered, intergenerational community based in Leeds, UK. We
exist to worship God, nurture disciples, and serve our local and global

life, and spiritual formation. Our church ministries include BE Kids, BE Youth, and
Adults, and we are especially focused on reaching and equipping the next generation to
walk in faith and purpose.
As we enter a new season of growth and outreach, we are excited to expand our team by
appointing a Gospel Ministry Worker. This is not just a job—it is a calling and an

Position Summary
This role is a vital part of our ministry team, providing pastoral and administrative
support while actively leading and engaging in youth and outreach ministries. The role is
well-suited for someone currently pursuing theological training, discerning a future in
ministry, or simply seeking to grow through hands-on church service.
You will work closely with pastors, leaders, and volunteers to strengthen youth
discipleship, build connections with students in the University of Leeds, and serve in
various church events and weekly operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support ministries for Year 5 to Year 8 children and young people
adapt to cultural changes and overcome language barriers for spiritual growth;
Develop and implement programmes that provide a welcoming and supportive
environment. Provide pastoral care and mentorship to young people in the
church.
• Collaborate closely with the pastor and trustees in strategic planning.
Support church events, camps, workshops, outreach activities and Sunday
service operations Support the development of ministry resources and
programmes.
• Assist in establishing a new faith-based student society under Leeds
University Union (LUU) Assist in organising events, Bible studies, and
discipleship programmes at the University of Leeds. Support university
students in their faith journey and cultural adaptation. Build relationships with
university students and provide pastoral support.
• Provide administrative and pastoral support to the church leadership
team. Assist with writing and submitting funding applications to support ministry
communication, and coordination of ministry activities. Ensure compliance with
church policies, GDPR, and safeguarding procedures
• Maintain and update the church’s website with relevant content. Manage and
grow the church’s social media presence. Create and schedule engaging
posts to promote events, services, and outreach activities. Oversee and
organise the church’s Google Workspace, including emails, calendar
management, and shared files.
Qualifications
• A committed Christian with a passion for ministry.
• Experience working with children, youth, or university students.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across cultural and language barriers.
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with the pastor and church
leaders.
• Experience with website and social media management.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, etc.).
• Fluent in English and Cantonese (additional languages are a plus).
Work Schedule & Conditions
• Ideal for those pursuing or preparing for theological studies
• Must be available for occasional weekends and evenings
