About the Opportunity

Role Responsibilities
The role consists of working within a team to provide the full range of activities required for preparation of fire resistance tests. The work will include:
1. Installation of the constructional elements onto large-scale furnace test frames.
2. Installation and set-up of instrumentation such as thermocouples and transducers.
3. Maintenance of equipment.
4. Off-loading/loading deliveries.
5. Daily contact and co-ordination with our test engineers, clients, and their sub-contractors.
There are many more activities to ensure the constant through flow of test work through a busy and heavy industrial fire test laboratory.
Required Attributes
* Exceptional awareness of health and safety requirements.
* General proficiency in use of Microsoft Office standard software.
* Familiar with use of general measuring equipment and calibrations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in construction (brickwork, blockwork, plastering, welding, carpentry, etc.).
Desirable Attributes
* Previous experience of fire testing.
