Starbucks - Store Manager
We’re looking for leaders at Starbucks. Join us for coffee, stay for the community, connections, and opportunities.
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store manager. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand’s future. Here your voice is brewed into everything we do. As a leader at Starbucks, you will be empowered to treat the store as if it is your own business.
To be successful in the role, you’ll have previous experience leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment. You’ll champion our mission and values to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You’ll understand your market, know the competition, and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and your business forward. You’ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners feel they belong.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! As a store leader working in one of our dynamic stores, you’ll set an example and lead from the front on shift. A typical day could include:
* Executing store operations through your team, on your scheduled shifts and days off, ensuring coverage during opening, closing, and weekends
* Analyzing data and using observations in-store to inform decision-making that improves customer experience and overall store performance
* Working with your store leaders to use forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labor within budgets and recruit diverse, talented partners that meet store needs
* Cascading and implementing new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results
* Supporting the growth of your partners through performance management, coaching, and development; building positive relationships to understand their challenges, needs, and aspirations
* Setting challenging yet realistic goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance
Given the nature of our stores, working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
All retail store partners begin their careers with an introductory training program led by in-store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These programs are delivered in-store and offer on-the-job learning supported by your manager.
In return, we offer a competitive starting salary and benefits, including:
* 28 days holiday annually (including Bank Holidays), plus a special day each year for personal milestones
* Free drinks and food during shifts
* Store bonus program
* Bean stock options for all partners
* Comprehensive training, including coffee knowledge, and access to Starbucks Global Academy
* A free bag of coffee weekly and a 30% partner discount on food, beverages, and merchandise
* Discounts with local and national retailers via Perks at Work
* Life assurance
* Home Sweet Loan (interest-free loans to assist with rental deposits)
* 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for partners and families
* Recognition schemes and awards for long service, customer service, and team contributions
* Opportunities for long-term career growth in-store and at support centers
If you’re seeking a new opportunity, you’ll be welcomed, challenged, and inspired here. We value your voice and your belonging.
Our process:
