This is a full time & long term role, starting ASAP at a fantastic Primary Alternative Education Provision in Bolton
Role: Behaviour Mentor at Primary Alternative Education Provision in Bolton.
Start date: ASAP.
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
Contract: Long term. Could go perm for the right person.
Excellent pay: £90-105/day DOE - paid PAYE direct via Now Education. We don't use umbrella companies!
What you'll do
* Supporting a children in KS2 with Social & Emotional needs (SEMH).
* The pupil is from a vulnerable background so will need lots of empathy, patience and perseverance from their support assistant over time.
* You will need to look out for triggers and employ preventative strategies and de-escalation techniques to help manage their behaviour so that the pupil can focus on learning.
* Tailored support in lessons, breaking down instructions and tasks so they are easily understood and the pupil feels they are achievable.
* At times you may be required to support the rest of the class or others.
* Working closely with the teacher, management, support staff, parents and outside professionals.
* Contribute to a safe, positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements
* CV with full history from education to present.
* Right to Work & Proof of Address in the UK.
* DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for a new one).
* Min of 2 professional references.
* Overseas Police Check if applicable.
* Some experience supporting primary aged children with behaviour needs.
