Pay: $27/hour + casual loading (higher rates for experienced candidates)

About the Firm
We are a boutique commercial and corporate law firm based in Southport, advising businesses, developers and private clients on a wide range of commercial, corporate and property matters. We are client‑focused, efficient, and growing.
We are looking for a Legal Assistant / Law Clerk (Casual) to support our practice.
This role is open to law students OR experienced professionals from business, accounting, corporate, administration or conveyancing backgrounds who want flexible, professional work.
The Role
This position provides hands‑on support across commercial, corporate and property matters. You will work directly with the principal solicitor and handle a variety of administrative and legal support tasks.
* Drafting and preparing legal documents and correspondence
* Assisting with commercial and corporate matters
* Conveyancing and settlement support (PEXA experience is a bonus)
* Contract preparation and file management
* Client communication (email and phone)
* Document organisation, scanning and general office duties
* Legal research and court filing
* Managing deadlines, calendars and workflow tasks
About You

Candidates must have legal work rights in Australia.
You will have:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Professional presentation and client manner
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and general computer systems
* Ability to work independently and learn quickly
* Legal experience is not required, but is an advantage.
