You will be an integral part of the team and will play a key role in assisting the children to learn and develop and you will need to:
* Be friendly, hard-working and flexible
* Plan for children a range of stimulating, safe and well-planned activities
* Use Initiative
* Be a team player
* Build solid relationships with parents / carers, families and professionals involved with the children
* Be caring and support the children through learning and play.
* All aspects of personal care, including nappy changing, bottle feeding and potty training
* Become the role of a keyworker
* Support the pre-school children for school readiness
* Follow the EYFS, supporting the children emotionally and physically
* Have good organisational and communication skills

Oaklands Day nursery is on one level and have large open planned rooms with separate areas for our babies and toddlers. We take children from 3 months to 5 years. The nursery is situated on the grounds of Oaklands primary school and we are fortunate to have lots of open outside areas to use. We are a very friendly team and work hard to make sure the children are all treated equally. We recognise that each child is an individual with their own interests and personality, and this is always the starting point for the experiences we can share with our families.
