An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager within High Secure Services at Broadmoor Hospital – one of the three high‑secure hospitals in the country with an international reputation for caring for patients from the South of England.
Role Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) will lead high‑quality patient care and ensure clinical nursing practice reflects national and local professional standards. The CNM will be responsible for a safe, anti‑discriminatory environment, recovery‑focused care and effective delivery of the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
Responsibilities
* Ensure safe, culturally sensitive care and promote patient involvement at the heart of practice.
* Lead nursing staff to provide therapeutic engagement and maintain a high standard of clinical competence, including assessment of need and evidence‑based interventions.
* Oversee assessment of health‑care outcomes and the evaluation of healthcare service delivery.
* Provide regular clinical supervision and support personal and professional development for all nursing staff.
* Work in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct.
* Manage staff performance, motivation and development to meet core Trust objectives.
* Maintain clinical governance, compliance with quality and safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Registered nurse with leadership experience in forensic or high‑secure settings.
* Strong clinical knowledge and evidence‑based practice skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
* Experience in staff management, supervision and development.
* A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in patient care and staff support.
