Join to apply for the Clinical Lead (Children & Young People) - Supporting Recovery role at Anglicare Sydney

Anglicare Sydney is a leading and highly regarded community NFP organisation in Australia.

Our vision is to see Jesus Christ honoured, lives enriched and communities strengthened. To achieve this, we are looking to attract the most capable and mission aligned people to join us.

For over 160 years Anglicare has been serving people in need- providing care to older people and services to the vulnerable. We began because of people who saw a need in the community and who were compelled to make a difference. People motivated by Christian love and a passion to serve. If this describes you, we would love to invite you to join us!

Are you ready to lead with heart and purpose?

Anglicare and CatholicCare have come together to deliver Supporting Recovery—a life-changing program that provides trauma-informed mental health care to victim-survivors of Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) in South West Sydney. As mission-aligned organisations, we are united by a deep commitment to compassion, dignity, and community healing.

We are seeking a Clinical Lead who is passionate about supporting children and adolescents on their journey to recovery. This is more than a job—it’s a calling to help rebuild lives and restore hope.

About The Role

As Clinical Lead, you will ensure the highest clinical standards across the program, grounded in our Child Inclusive Practice Frameworks and Model of Care. You’ll provide expert supervision and training to our dedicated team, ensuring services are safe, inclusive, and empowering for children and young people.

You’ll also provide direct trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, and their families—helping them heal, grow, and thrive.

Based on current program funding, this role is a Maximum Term (till June 2026) part time role with opportunity to extend further, 3-4 days a week (negotiable), based at Campbelltown.

What You’ll Do

* Champion best-practice psychological therapies and wellbeing interventions for children and young people.
* Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to program staff.
* Deliver direct trauma-informed care to victim-survivors, with a focus on children and adolescents.
* Foster a culture of safety, compassion, and cultural inclusivity—embracing First Nations peoples, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disability, and CALD communities.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless, holistic care.
* Contribute to clinical governance, risk management, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

* Tertiary degree qualification applicable to role – i.e. Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or similar.
* Substantial experience working with children and adolescent clients who have experienced trauma related to FDSV (mandatory).
* Registration with relevant professional body – i.e. minimum level 4 ACA, PACFA Clinical, APHRA, AASW mental health social worker accreditation.
* Supervision registration with relevant professional body, and at least 2 years' experience supervising clinicians who work with children and adolescents.
* Police check and valid NSW WWCC.
* Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
* Previous relevant training and experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and CALD clients (essential).
* Safe & Together Model experience and training (desirable)

Why Join Us?

Because your work will matter—deeply. You’ll be part of a team that walks alongside families in their most vulnerable moments, offering care, strength, and hope. You’ll help shape a program that is changing lives, one story at a time.

* Supportive Environment: Work in a flexible, supportive setting that allows you to do your best work.
* Career Growth: Enjoy opportunities for professional development and career progression.
* Exclusive Benefits: Access discounts at over 400 retail, accommodation, and entertainment venues.
* Wellbeing Focus: Benefit from regular supervision, mentoring, and a comprehensive induction program.
* Fitness Perks: Get discounts to over 800 gyms for you and your family with Fitness Passport.
* Tax Advantages: Take advantage of salary packaging options as a not-for-profit organization.
* Positive Culture: Thrive in a fun, supportive, and engaged team environment.
* Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
