Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Location: As a Mechanical Estimator, you will take ownership of all mechanical estimating activities across the business and play a pivotal role in shaping a modern estimating function.
Lead mechanical estimating for projects from small works to multi-million-pound packages.
Conduct detailed take-offs, cost analysis, and tender submissions using drawings, specifications, and site information.
Establish best-practice procedures, cost libraries, templates, and databases.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants across mechanical, electrical, and BMS packages.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth handover of successful bids into delivery.
Established mechanical services contractor operating across London and the South East.
Delivers high-quality HVAC solutions across commercial, high-end residential, education, and public sectors.
Provides mechanical design, installation, and commissioning services.
Currently undergoing modernisation, investment, and process improvement, creating opportunities for senior hires.
Significant experience as a Mechanical Estimator within an M&E contracting environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, ductwork, plant, and BMS integration.
Comfortable working independently as the primary estimator.
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of how to build competitive, profitable tenders.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with digital estimating tools/databases (or ability to introduce them).
