Experienced Primary Care Recruitment Specialist | Director at Healthii People Are you an organised, patient-focused professional looking to make a real impact in a busy GP practice? We’re currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a friendly and supportive team in Portsmouth, with an immediate start available on a Part time or Full time basis. They are ideally looking for a permanent role, but would consider Locum for the right person.
The Role:
As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. You will have the opportunity work in a well run organised team where you will also have the opportunity to progress and upskill if so desired.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming patients in person and over the phone
Booking, amending, and managing appointments
Processing prescriptions and managing patient queries
Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident IT user, with strong attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne (preferred but not essential)
Hourly rate: £12.25–£15.00 (dependent on experience)
