Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading Machine Tool manufacturer with a strong industry presence.

A position has arisen within the Production Engineering Department for an Electrical Production Engineer.

365 Resourcing are the preferred supplier working on behalf of Mazak.


Job Description:

* Technical support for all production departments on electrical systems.
* Provide quick technical support to resolve machine breakdowns and line stoppages.
* Electrically test & validate new machine options, including functional checking.
* Prepare modification requests for design changes (Electrical circuit & loom harness).
* Prepare electrical assembly process documents & check sheets.
* Test & evaluate new machines, including functional checking.
* Design, specify, and commission test rigs.
* Identify risks and implement safety improvements.
* Provide technical support to Service & QA departments.


Essential Criteria:

* Apprentice Trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
* Qualified Electrical Engineer with recognised qualifications – 18th Edition & HNC (Electrical Engineering).
* Industrial Electrical Experience.
* IT literate in all Microsoft Office packages.
* Self-motivated with good time management.
* Good communication skills.
* Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles.
* Ability to work well with people of all abilities.


Desirable Criteria:

* Understanding of PLCs.
* Knowledge of inverter drive systems.
* Ability to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings & ladder diagrams.
* Fault finding skills using electrical diagnostics, I/O, & PLC.
* Knowledge of risk assessment & health & safety requirements.
* Experience in defining & documenting assembly procedures.
* Project planning & management skills.
* Knowledge of electrical inspection & test methods.
* Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems for fault finding.
* Ability to improve processes & productivity.
* Capability to operate CNC machinery.
