Job Description
The successful Senior Finance Assistant will:
3. Reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly sales for the operating entities and licensed restaurants. Sales journal and receipt reconciliations.
4. Cost of Sales reporting and reconciliation. This is a key metric with operational with significant senior management focus.
5. Payroll journal and reporting.
6. Accuracy of accounts payable including invoice processing, approval request, supplier statement reconciliations, preparation of supplier pay run.
7. Daily bank reconciliations, petty cash, expense card reconciliations.
8. Inventory, waste reporting etc.
9. Ownership of the Fixed Asset Registers for the operating entities.
10. Accruals and prepayments reporting
11. Assistance with monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliation and management accounts.
12. Partnering with the business to provide insightful information e.g. sales actual versus targets, ad-hoc requests etc.
13. Assisting with audit queries and the provision of information requested by the external auditors.
14. Process and control improvement and ad-hoc projects.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Finance Assistant will:
15. Have approximately 2-3 years of experience in a finance role
16. Prior working experience in the finance team of a hospitality business (highly desirable, not essential)
17. Experience working across both the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams
18. Exposure to month-end accounts
19. Strong Excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
20. Prior experience working with an ERP system (ie: SAP, Quickbooks etc.)
21. Strong written and verbal communication skills
