Are you an inspiring educator dedicated to supporting the academic growth of secondary-aged students? We are seeking an experienced Secondary Teacher to join our team in the Herefordshire area.
In this role, you will provide high-quality, tailored tuition to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will focus on building academic confidence and exam readiness in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science.
Key Information
* Pay Rate: £28-£30 per hour PAYE.
* Location: Flexible settings across Herefordshire, including school premises, students' homes, or public libraries.
* Hours: Flexible sessions ranging from 1 to 15 hours per week.
* Support: A responsible adult or carer will be present during sessions to assist with learners who have high needs.
Your Responsibilities
* Delivering tuition sessions in line with the UK national curriculum for secondary education.
* Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans that cater to each student's unique learning style and academic goals.
* Adjusting your teaching approach to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all learners.
* Fostering a positive environment to build a student's self-esteem and academic confidence.
* Maintaining clear communication with families regarding student progress and areas for development.
Requirements
* Experience: A proven track record of delivering Secondary Maths, English, or Science tuition.
* Knowledge: A strong understanding of the current UK national curriculum at the secondary level.
* Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form long-term, meaningful relationships with young people.
* Compliance: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one before starting).
