Pay rate:£460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Attendance Officer to work with schools in Sheffield, helping to improve student attendance and ensure pupils are supported to engage fully in their education.
As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring attendance, working closely with students, families, and school staff to address absence issues and promote positive attendance habits.
Main Responsibilities:
* Monitor and track student attendance, identifying patterns of absence or lateness.
* Follow up on absences with parents/carers in line with school procedures.
* Maintain accurate attendance records and update school systems.
* Work with pastoral teams to support students with attendance concerns.
* Promote good attendance and punctuality across the school.
* Liaise with external agencies where required.
Requirements of Attendance Officer:
* Previous experience in an administrative or school-based role is desirable.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
* A proactive and supportive approach when working with students and families.
* A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
