Serco have an exciting opportunity to join their team as an Associate Tutor based at the International Fire Training Centre in Darlington.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage the delivery of training programmes in accordance with QMS procedures, assess students' performance against recognised standards using a range of methods.
2. Take responsibility for personal development to broaden the type and range of courses that can be delivered.
3. Assist in the design and development of training programmes in response to business and client needs.
4. Assist in course update work to maintain compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
5. Assist lead tutors in providing students/sponsors with follow-up reports and action plans in the agreed format.
6. Maintain equipment in accordance with recognised procedures.
7. Apply innovation and creativity to enhance the learning experience for students.
8. Provide feedback to line managers on student performance, staff performance, and health and safety.
9. Report shortfalls and non-conformities to line manager promptly.
10. Any other reasonable duties as specified by the line manager.
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Must be qualified and hold the position of Crew Manager or above.
2. Must have operational experience within LAFRS or UK licensed aerodrome Cat 5 and above.
3. Must hold a current LGV (C) licence.
4. Must be a breathing apparatus instructor (BAI).
5. Preferably qualified with a level 3 teaching PTTLS certificate.
6. Preferably qualified to assess (TAQA / A1 assessor qualification).
7. Good IT skills including the ability to work with Word and PowerPoint.
