The Growth Companys (GC) finance team has an exciting new opportunity for a Management Accountant to provide a full and comprehensive finance and accounting function for legal entities and business units within the Growth Company Group, producing management accounts, VAT returns and other financial information whilst ensuring a rigorous control environment is maintained at all times. This is a Fixed Term Contract until27/06/2025 Key Responsibilities: Support the Senior Reporting Accountants to produce and review accurate, timely and relevant management accounts and other financial information to an agreed timetable, and to support the needs of the organisation as required. Provide appropriate supporting narrative and explanations of variances against forecast/budget to the operating unit and FP&A team to prompt key business decisions. Ensure the performance and review of robust balance sheet account reconciliations, and investigate and resolve all reconciling items with a sufficient audit trail and on a timely basis. Prepare and check weekly BACS runs for submission for payment. Load budget and forecast information into Unit4 to enable an analysis of actual performance against both budget and forecast profiles. Liaise with auditors during audit process to provide analysis of financial results and key control documents. Part of a team of Management Accountants who will work on various legal entity and business unit accounts within the Growth Group. This role involves collaborating with FP&A and operational managers on a regular basis to discuss results and financial issues within the companies they are responsible for. The post holder will be required to work with other Management Accountants to accurately reconcile all of the inter Group transactional activity. There is a high level of intercompany transactions across the Group. Responsibility for forecasting cash movements in their area, where appropriate, and be able to cover during absences of other MAs. About you: Organised, flexible, strong personal communicator. Highly organised. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time-management. Requirements: 2-3 years as a management accountant, and have carried out management accounting, cash flow analysis and completion of control files. Experienced in management and financial accounting and preferably working towards a recognised accounting qualification or similar. Knowledge of accounting principles and public sector/Government programmes. Good understanding of excel spreadsheets.
