P osition: Mechanical Technician Location: Witney, Oxfordshire Job Type: Permanent / Onsite Salary: £34000 per annum Working hours: 8:00 to 04:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am to 1:00 on Fridays Benefits: private healthcare, 23 8 bank holidays, pension, free car park. My client, a specialist manufacturing business are on the hunt for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their engineering assembly team in Witney. Role and Responsibilities – Mechanical Technician In this role, you will be assembling complex components and products for the scientific industry in line with tight tolerances and customer demand. Other responsibilities include: Perform precision mechanical assembly of bespoke products. Must be able to use measuring tools such as verniers, callipers and micrometres Troubleshooting – identifying, documenting, resolving and reporting technical issues during the assembly process Actively work with the D.O. to improve products and increase efficiency of assembly processes. Quality control and inspection – Conducting visual inspections to ensure products meet quality and specifications throughout the assembly process Experience or Qualifications – Mechanical Technician NVQ or HNC Qualified in Engineering field Previous experience in assembly ideally within a scientific environment Experience working to tight tolerances Welding, Soldering and Fabrication experience (desirable) Benefits – Mechanical Technician 25 Days Bank Holidays Private Health Care Options Early Finish Fridays Overtime Available Candidates who currently are a Mechanical Engineering Technician, Assembly Technician, Engineering Technician or Mechanical Assembler may be suitable for this position.
