Due to continued success, our Corporate & Real Estate Senior Associate is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their practice.
The Role
We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Corporate & Real Estate Senior Associate in Manchester.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role.
The day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:
1. Diary Management (inputting deadlines and reminders)
2. Monitor emails and respond where necessary and applicable
3. Manage external networking events
4. Client communications, greeting clients, opening files
5. Greet clients, open files with client care letters, and check IDs
6. Manage bills, invoices, and expenses
7. Audio typing documents and correspondence
8. Record all client and matter details on the case management system
9. Set up new files
10. Ensure details are kept up to date
11. Make appointments and maintain the diary
12. Attend to clients in person and on the phone professionally and courteously
The role is based at our central Manchester office, with a hybrid working model offering 2-3 days from home per week.
This position is suitable for full-time or part-time candidates, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Personal Specification
To succeed, you should be based in Manchester with prior experience as a legal PA or Secretary.
You should have strong skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign, and related tools. You must be proactive, organized, efficient, and eager to drive tasks forward.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues
* Strong IT skills, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Data Rooms
* Good planning and task prioritization abilities
* Initiative in handling tasks
