Job overview
Within the role of SACT nurse in the Cancer Centre, you will work as part of a wider team to safely deliver Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, targeted treatments and supportive care for cancer patients.
Main duties of the job
* Safely deliver SACT & supportive cancer treatments
* Perform clinical activities such as venepuncture, cannulation and central line access
* Assess and interpret acute and other patient conditions, initiating appropriate actions
* Communicate professionally, clearly and concisely with patients and their relatives
* Take responsibility for concise documentation
Person specification
* NMC registration
* Minimum 1 year nursing experience
* At least 12 months of experience in oncology or related field
