Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Hybrid – Coventry
Division: Environment Division
Purpose Of The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance Team in the Environment Division. The role involves supporting the Divisional Finance Manager by providing essential financial costing data and management information to the wider Environment business, which includes divisional overheads and our Consultancy arm.
You will join a team of approximately 17 finance professionals, with 4 focused on divisional functions. This role sits within that divisional team and is ideal for someone comfortable working in a hybrid setting, primarily from home (80/20 split).
Key Accountabilities:
Staff allocations for divisional functions, including Procurement and Engineering Teams
Timely reporting of staff allocations and charges to the wider Environment business
Reviewing payment runs
Assisting the Management Accountant with month-end reporting
Processing cost ledger and general ledger journals
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
Cash forecasting and monitoring receipts
Covering for the Finance Assistant in project setup and maintenance
Responding to finance queries from commercial teams
Undertaking ad hoc tasks as required
About You:
You will be proactive and adaptable with strong communication skills, able to work to weekly and monthly deadlines. You should have:
Experience in a similar finance/accounting role
Good organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
AAT qualification or equivalent experience
Knowledge of Oracle/Fusion or similar ERP systems (desirable)
