Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with a Moffett licence for a temp‑to‑perm role with our client in the insulation and drylining sector.
You will work with Driver Hire for the first 13 weeks before transferring permanently to our client.
Job Details
1. Shift: Monday to Friday
2. Hours: 07:00 – 16:00
3. Overtime: Paid at 1.5x when required
4. No weekends
5. No nights out
Pay Rates
While working for Driver Hire Leeds West (first 13 weeks):
6. £17.69 per hour – Standard
7. £20.94 per hour – Overtime
8. PAYE Advanced (holiday pay included)
When permanent with the client:
9. Approx. £30,500 per year (with regular overtime)

Key Responsibilities
15. Operate a Class 2 HGV and Moffett forklift safely
16. Deliver insulation and drylining materials to construction sites and residential locations
17. Carry out nationwide deliveries as required
18. Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
19. Complete daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance reporting
20. Maintain delivery paperwork, mileage, and fuel records
21. Liaise with dispatch, sales teams, and site managers
22. Provide excellent customer service
23. Follow all Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
24. Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
25. Moffett licence – essential
26. Driver CPC + Digital Tachograph Card
27. Previous construction materials delivery experience (preferred)
28. Physically fit for manual handling
29. Punctual, professional, and customer‑focused
30. Experience completing nationwide deliveries
