Job Description
* Maintaining financial records, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded in the Sage accounting system.* Preparing monthly management accounts, providing analysis.* Owning the reconciliation and consolidation of all balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies.* Supporting the Finance Director with the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting cycles.* Assisting the Finance Director with reporting requirements to the Group finance function.* Supporting the income reconciliation process.* Take responsibility for risk management and compliance activities, including preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC.* Ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.* Support the annual audit process.* Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.* Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required.* Mentoring and managing 1 junior member of staff.
The Successful Applicant
3. A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
4. Experience in management accounts, financial reporting and reconciliations.
5. Proficiency in Excel. A further knowledge of SAGE is desirable.
6. Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and providing analysis.
